Hump day

Wednesday was good. We have good attendance again...we haven't scared them all off yet. Josh came strong with some great illustrations today. I think that they are grasping most of the material. The translators are wonderful (as they have been on my previous trips as well). We truly could not do this without them. They are a vital part of the team and true blessing. Not only do we appreciate their hard work we appreciate their friendship and fellowship. We are having a good time together. I have not laughed this much in a while. After the bible institute we went to a town about 5 miles away on the coast of Lake Nicaragua. They had a nice beach. Seth joined some local boys in a game of soccer in the sand while I took lots of pictures. Todd made a comment the other day about wanting to drive a motorcycle (a popular local form of transportation) to Cairo...well Pastor Philemon got word of this and brought his motorcycle out to the beach and let Todd drive in up and down the sand. It was great. I kept thinking of the movie "The World's Fastest Indian". We found some monkeys in a tree and feed them mangoes. They came and took them right out of our hands. Check out the pics that I posted on my last entry...

Sounds great. It must have been hard to look at the lake without getting emotional. Why didn't you join in the soccer; you haven't hung up the boots yet?
